New University Autumn School 2022
The New University Autumn School 2022, entitled URBAN SPACE AND LIFESTYLE SATISFACTION: Real Estate and Legal Aspects, took place from 12 to 16 September 2022 at the European Faculty of Law of the New University, Mestnem trg 23, 1000 Ljubljana and via the Zoom web application.

CONTINUING TRAINING FOR MEDIATORS, 4 April 2018
Over the years, the European Law Faculty of the New University has established itself as a successful higher education institution offering innovative skills in the field of alternative dispute resolution in addition to law in its postgraduate study programmes. As mediation is becoming an increasingly common way of resolving disputes, the rich theoretical and practical background of mediators is essential to ensure the quality of the mediation process.
The intensive 12-hour training for mediators organised by the Faculty was aimed at upgrading existing skills in terms of content and practice. It was delivered by renowned national and international experts who shared their knowledge and experience with the participants.
The training took place on 4 April 2018, from 9:00 to 19:00, at the premises of Nova University, European Faculty of Law, in Nova Gorica.

AUTUMN SCHOOL OF EUROPEAN LAW FACULTY, Ljubljana, 14-17 November 2016
The Autumn School was dedicated to the management of diversity and the management and resolution of crises and conflicts. The field of conflict resolution was addressed in an interdisciplinary manner – from a cultural, political science, psychological and legal perspective. The content of the autumn school provided participants with useful skills in the field of conflict resolution:
- Mitja Žagar: Approaches, strategies, methods and techniques of diversity management and conflict resolution.
- Gordana Ristin: Current issues in the field of alternative dispute resolution with an emphasis on mediation.
- Rudi Tavčar, MBA: Negotiation strategies and tactics.
- Tanja Pia Metelko: Psychology of conflict and interpersonal relationship management.
- Zoran Hajtnik: The role of the lawyer in mediation.Experts in the field of dispute resolution discussed the topics from the perspective of their practical experience, focusing on acquired skills and techniques, role-play and case studies.

SUMMER SCHOOL OF EUROPEAN LAW AND THE FACULTY OF STATE AND EUROPEAN STUDIES, Ljubljana, 12-16 September 2016
The Summer School was dedicated to the acute crisis of the rule of law in the European Union and in Slovenia in particular. Students were introduced to the legal, economic, historical, sociological and technological aspects of the crisis of the rule of law through a comparative law perspective. The Summer School thus drew on the research findings of the ARRS core project J5-7359 Reform of the Democratic and Rule of Law in Slovenia, which is being carried out at the Faculty of State and European Studies in cooperation with the European Faculty of Law under the leadership of Dr Jernej Letnar Černić.

SUMMER SCHOOL AT THE UNIVERSITY OF VIDEM
Project description: Intensive Programmes (IP) are short study programmes (most often summer schools) that bring together students and professors from different higher education institutions and countries in one place. The duration of an IP can vary from 2-6 weeks. The grant for Intensive Programmes consists of a lump sum to cover the organisation costs, an amount to cover part of the participants’ travel costs and subsistence allowances. The European Faculty of Law has been involved in the organisation of the “Udine Summer School” for several years, in cooperation with the Faculty of Law of the University of Udine and other partner institutions participating in the project.Project result: since 2009, the Faculty has been involved in the implementation of the Summer School and has involved students and lecturers in the project.
