Dr. Andrej Drapal (1.9.1958) filozof, sociolog, publicist in podjetnik.
Kot študent je bil urednik Tribune (1979 – 1982) in kasneje urednik več redakcij Radia Študent in na koncu tudi direktor (1982 – 1986). V tem času je v različnih slovenskih medijih objavil več kot 500 člankov o kulturi, umetnosti in družbi in med tem časom diplomiral filozofijo in primerjalno književnosto na Filozofski Fakulteti Ljubljana.
Od leta 1986 do 1991 je vodil gledališki in filmski program na Cankarjevem domu. V tem času je produciral več kot 30 gledaliških in filmskih predstav, kasneje tudi kot neodvisni producent v InArt Centru, ki ga je ustanovil v ta namen.
Od leta 1991 do 2011 je bil svetovalec in partner prve in dolgo največje agencije za odnose z javnostmi, oglaševanje in marketing, Pristop. Leta 1996 je ustanovil prvo lobistično asociacijo v Sloveniji. Leta 2004 je ustanovil Zbornico poslovnih storitev na Gospodarski Zbornici Slovenije. Bil je član različnih svetov neprofitnih organizacij, med drugimi dva mandata predsednik Narodne Galerije in več mandatov član programskega sveta Ljubljanafestivala.
Kot svetovalec je od leta 1991 svetoval upravam več kot 200 slovenskih in mednarodnih korporacij, neprofitnih organizacij in javnih institucij. Je član Združenja Manager in Združenja nadzornikov Slovenije.
Od leta 1998 razvija lasten model znamčenja in marketinga, Standardni Model Znamčenja©. V tem času je po tej metodi razvil več kot 50 znamk in poslovnih modelov. Znamka I Feel Slovenia, v veljavi od leta 2008, je verjetno najbolj prepoznana znamka, ki je nastala po tej metodi. Brandlife (Drapal 2016) je knjiga, ki Standardni model utemeljuje in popisuje.
Andrej je pogost govorec na različnih dogodkih in konferencah s temamo znamčenja, trženja, odnosov z javnostmi in v obdobju od 2010 tudi memetike.
Od leta 2006 Andrej razvija originalen filozofski koncept, ki povezuje evolucijsko teorijo, neuroznanost, teorijo kompleksnih sistemov, memetiko, liberalno ekonomijjo ter liberalno filozofijo, homonizem. Sistem je popisan v knjigi Homonizem (Drapal 2022).
Andrej je s tezo o memetiki doktoriral na smeri strateškega komuniciranja Fakultete za uporabne družbene študije v Novi Gorici novembra 2024.
Kot koavtor je sodeloval pri nekaj knjigah, njegova prva monografija pa je v Slovenščini izšla pod naslovom Kako Stvari Vznikajo. (Drapal 2009). Na svoji strani www.andrejdrapal.com, tedensko objavlja prispevke. Njegova tviter accounta sta @andrejdrapal in @adDrapi.

Dr. Andrej Drapal (b. September 1, 1958) is a philosopher, sociologist, publicist, and entrepreneur.
As a student, he served as the editor of Tribuna (1979–1982) and later worked as the editor of several sections at Radio Študent, eventually becoming its director (1982–1986). During this period, he published over 500 articles on culture, art, and society in various Slovenian media outlets and earned a degree in philosophy and comparative literature from the Faculty of Arts, University of Ljubljana.
From 1986 to 1991, he led the theater and film program at Cankarjev Dom, producing over 30 theater and film performances. He continued producing as an independent entrepreneur with InArt Center, which he established for this purpose.
Between 1991 and 2011, he served as a consultant and partner at Pristop, Slovenia’s first and, for a long time, largest agency for public relations, advertising, and marketing. In 1996, he founded Slovenia’s first lobbying association. In 2004, he established the Chamber of Business Services at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia. He also served on various boards of nonprofit organizations, including two terms as president of the National Gallery and multiple terms on the program council of the Ljubljana Festival.
Since 1991, Andrej Drapal has been a consultant advising the management of over 200 Slovenian and international corporations, nonprofit organizations, and public institutions. He is a member of the Slovenian Managers’ Association and the Slovenian Directors’ Association.
Since 1998, he has been developing his own branding and marketing model, the Standard Branding Model©. Using this methodology, he has developed over 50 brands and business models. The brand I Feel Slovenia, launched in 2008, is arguably the most recognized product of this model. His book Brandlife (2016) outlines and explains the methodology.
Andrej is a frequent speaker at events and conferences on branding, marketing, public relations, and, since 2010, memetics.
Since 2006, Andrej has been developing an original philosophical concept: Homonism. This concept connects evolutionary theory, neuroscience, complex systems theory, memetics, liberal economics, and liberal philosophy. It is detailed in his book Homonism (2022).
In November 2024, he completed his Ph.D. in strategic communication at the Faculty of Applied Social Studies in Nova Gorica, focusing on memetics.
As a co-author, Andrej has contributed to several books, and his first monograph in Slovenian, Kako Stvari Vznikajo, was published in 2009. He regularly posts articles on his website www.andrejdrapal.com. His Twitter accounts are @andrejdrapal and @adDrapi.
